Hello, I'm a Sudanese student who was as living in Ukraine. I came to Düsseldorf, Germany on March/2022. Since then I haven't received any financial support like the others did and I don't know why but they just didn't help us. However, I got my residence permit from Köln and I still live in Düsseldorf. My residence permit is about to expire now and I don't know what to do exactly to renew it in Düsseldorf not in Köln as this where I live now. My residence permit doesn't have "work allowance" so when I renew it can it has a "work allowance" in it. Is that possible?

The amount and which office is in charge depends on the kind of residency that you have. I would suggest seeking out some assistance. At an advice center you will receive help in figuring out what the next steps are, so that you can receive financial assistance and residency with a work permit.
You should always let the immigration office know when you move cities. Usually, the city where you are registered in, is in charge for the renewal.

Since your residency will expire soon, I strongly suggest seeking out migration counseling. I would recommend that you seek legal/social advice as soon as possible. I can refer you to some advice centers in Düsseldorf.
The Refugee Law Clinic might be able to help you. They offer open appointments on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6-8 pm at the Welcome Point 3 (Merowingerstraße 24, 40223 Düsseldorf). Please bring all your documents to the appointment.
They will then assess if they can help you or they will refer you to a lawyer. The service is free of charge.

Hello Hope_79, I would also like to add, if you received a temporary protection according to §24 (residence act) then you have the right to work and receive financial assistance from the "Job Center".

Yes I know but mine is under section "81" (I don't know how) thats why it doesn't have a work allowance.
