Hello, I would like ask clarification regarding family reunification policies for Blue Card holders March 2024
If a person travel to Germany in April/May 2024 with employment VISA, which is applied for Employment VISA in the January month in VFS to get a VISA start date as 1 May 2024.
Could you please suggest, that they are still eligible to bring their parents ?
or the employment VISA also needs to applied after March 2024 ?

Hello Jobseeker, thank you for reaching out to us. Indeed the regulation is that if you apply for a blue card for the first time, from 1st of March onwards you can, if they fulfill the criteria, i.e. having health insurance for your parents, bring their parents or their spouses parents. If you applied for a visa in January and traveled to Germany in March/April and received the Blue card in March/April you should be eligible to bring your parents to Germany.
