I have a residence permit available > 3 months before I leave Germany (in July).

However, according to my flight schedule, I will re-enter Germany with a residence permit that is valid for 2 months (by the end of July).

Can I re-enter Germany with my current residence permit?

P.s.I have an appointment for the extension but the closest appointment is in September.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hallo supha , thank you for contacting us. Please let me know what kind of residence permit you have. A German residence permit generally allows you to re-enter the country as long as it is valid. I am waiting for your reply. Best Barbara

I have Aufenthaltstitel (Temporary residence permit - Aufenthaltserlaubnis) valid until 16 October.

I plan to travel to my home country (Asia) for 3 weeks (from 10 July to 30 July).

I will enter Germany again on the 30 July. This means that my residence permit is valid <3 months at the time of entering Germany.

In this case, Will I be able to re-enter Germany with my current residence permit?

If not, what can I do about it?

Thank you Barbara (Community Manager) for taking the time to answer the question. I truly appreciated it.

supha  thank you for your reply. It should not be a problem as long as you come back when the residency is still valid. It would be good if you already also have an appointment for the extension before you leave Germany. If you have any further questions, please let us know. Best Barbara
