Dear recipient,

I Hope this message finds you well.

As an LGBTQ member i have a problem with my family reunification in Germany. originally I am from an Islamic country and now I have a case with an LGBT supporting organization in Germany.

Me and my boyfriend (we are gays) has applied to this case about two years ago and now it is in process we will be evacuated to Germany, but as per family pressure and cultural values I have to marry a girl which is already accepted by our families in our origan country. And now I am the only person who bear her responsibility for the whole life.

so here i have a confusion that if me and my boyfriend arrived at Germany this year, can I apply for family reunification to my wife in near future or not? if yes so what will be the requirement.

I will greatly appreciate your relevant response to this issue.

thanks in advance for your cooperation.

best regards

Atal

Dear Atal.Afg I understand that you and your boyfriend are in a difficult situation. Regarding your question, navigating the family reunification process can be overwhelming. Once you are in Germany, you can apply for family reunification. Your ability to bring your fiancé to Germany depends primarily on your residence status. You will also need to meet many other requirements, such as a certificate of marriage registration. We have compiled detailed information on family reunification here: https://handbookgermany.de/en/family-reunification-for-immigrants . If you have any further questions, please let me know. Best, Barbara
