Good day, I will like to know how I can recognize my WAEC/secondary school certificates as a foreigner not yet in Germany or with a working contract yet for an Ausbildung? I have checked through the website of Anabin and there's no clear instructions on what to do there.

Dear davedcyrus , thank you for your question. Could you please let us know what type of visa you would like to apply for? If you want to do an Ausbildung, you do not always need to have your school certificate recognised: https://handbookgermany.de/en/vocational-training-dual Please, also read this link: https://handbookgermany.de/en/recognition If you have any further questions, please let us know. Thank you so much for your quick response. Well I applied for the National Visa for Vocational training (long term, no family reunification/No students) here in Nigeria. I guess if the School Certificate is listed on Anabin it is recognised. Do I still need to translate it to German from English when applying for training place in Germany?
davedcyrus Do you have a vocational training contract or a specific offer for a vocational training position? https://handbookgermany.de/en/vocational-training-visa#faq_193
Barbara (Community Manager) no, I don't. I am still searching for a training position while waiting for an interview date from the German Embassy. I hope get a place before I am called in for interview. Thanks again.
davedcyrus If you have a contract for vocational training, you do not need to translate your school leaving certificate. However, if you are applying for an Ausbildung, it might be better to have your certificate in German as well. Please, check if this link is helpful for you to search for an Ausbildung: https://handbookgermany.de/en/jobsearch-and-application and also this link if you want to work on your German: https://handbookgermany.de/en/learning-german#faq_907 Please, keep us updated.
