German passport

According to the new law, a particularly integrated refugee can apply for a German passport after three years.

Question: How long does it take after applying for the M until I receive a German passport?

Second question: If it is more than one year, is it then possible to make an appointment for the German passport after two years have passed since the blue passport, so the remaining year in the blue passport has expired and the time for our Appointment has also arrived.

  Thanks

Hello AzarAbed86
Thank you for your question.
If I understood you correctly, you have held a blue passport for 2 years and are currently informing yourself about the new draft law of citizenship.
There is currently a new draft under discussion, aiming to shorten the naturalization period, among other things. However, it is important to note that this is currently only a draft. It still needs to be approved by the Bundestag. This means that it may take some time before it comes into effect.
Until then, the existing requirements still apply, which you can read about on our website. Once the law is enacted, we will update our website as soon as possible.
.
Before naturalization, you may already be eligible for a permanent residency (PR). The requirements are similar to those for naturalization but slightly less challenging. Depending on your language skills, a residence period of 3-5 years is required. Here you can find more information about the requirements for a PR.
.
If you would like to discuss the next steps in more detail, I recommend contacting a migration counselling center:
Youth Migration Services (up to 27 years)
Migration Counselling Centers (above 27 years)
If you need assistance in finding a counseling center, please let me know your place of residence or the nearest bigger city, and I can help you find one.
Please keep in mind that immigration authorities are currently overwhelmed with work, and each process may take some longer time. Therefore, please be patient during those processes and ensure that you extend your current permit. Additionally, you can apply for a PR or naturalization. It is crucial to you make sure that your current permit does not expire.
