Hey George T. Focko , Thank you for contacting us. The Opportunity Card will go into effect in June 2024 and can be obtained in two ways:
1. "Third" country nationals who receive full recognition of their foreign qualifications and are therefore considered "skilled workers" will be able to obtain an Opportunity Card without any further special requirements.
2. All other applicants must provide proof of a foreign university degree, a professional qualification of at least two years' duration (in each case recognized by the state in the country of training) or a vocational qualification. Additionally, a basic knowledge of German (level A1) or English (level B2) is required.
