First of all, great to hear that you have received protection and can benefit from the so-called privileged family reunification, which means you do not have to proof that you have enough income. Please note that you can only benefit from the privileged family reunification if you apply within 3 months from the date of the BAMF decision. Please note, that only immediate family members are considered in the family reunification, such as underage children and your spouse. There are exceptions in so called hardship cases for this you would need to seek out special counseling and legal advice.

The next steps would be to inform your local immigration office that you want to apply for family reunification. This is called “Fristwahrende Anzeige” or timely notification. You can do this via fax to you immigration office or on the page of the German Foreign Ministry: https://fap.diplo.de/webportal/desktop/index.html#start
You need to keep this Notification safe, as a PDF. It is important proof that you have kept within the three months time frame, and they will ask for it at the German embassy. Please also make sure all the names are written correctly.
Your family must also book an appointment for family reunification in the respective German embassy. They will have to bring various documents to this appointment. We have listed the documents on our information page
