Hello! I have a residency card (Aufenthaltstitel) with Article 50 EUV and have been living in Germany for 7 years with our child. My husband has a Daueraufenthaltskarte expires in 2026, with the type of permit EU-Familien-Angehoriger Art 20 RL 2004/38/EG. Our question is does this entitle my husband to live and work in another country in the EU? If so how long for? Grateful for your  help and advice!

Hello Cleo15 , thank you for contacting us with your question. EU-Familien-Angehoriger permit allows your husband to live and work in Germany. According to EU law, family members of EU citizens have the right to join or accompany the EU citizen in another EU country: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/EN/legal-content/summary/eu-freedom-of-moveme…
Therefore, if you are going to move to another EU member state, your husband may have the right to live and work there with you. However, there are conditions and limitations (work) to this right. Therefore, before making any plans to move to another EU country, please research the specific requirements and procedures for EU citizens and their family members in that country. I recommend consulting a lawyer who can provide personalized guidance based on your unique circumstances. Your husband's residency permit in Germany grants certain rights. However, living and working in another EU country depends on various factors, including the laws and regulations of the destination country. Best Barbara
