Dear Adeshina akeem thank you for your question.
Generally, you need to apply for vocational trainings directly at the companies you wish to start. You can find open spots on job posting websites especially for vocational trainings, like Ausbildung.de, , IHK or azubi.de. On each posting you can see the requirements of the company.
On our website, you can find more information about dual vocational training.
Additionally, you might find some useful information about the application process.
Additionally, it is recommended to have German language skills on a B1 level at least. This will be required to apply for a visa but also for your training. A dual vocational training consists of work in the company and partially attending school. The speaking language in the courses and also the exams are very likely in German.
.
After you signed a contract to start a vocational training, you need to sign in a school which can accompany your dual training. Among with some personal documents, your signed work contract, the confirmation of your school and you language certificate you can apply for a visa at the German embassy in Nigeria.
Unfortunately, the German embassy in Nigeria doesn't provide a checklist for an application for vocational training. The checklist for study purposes ist very close to the required documents: https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en/-/2568986 Nevertheless, you might want to reach out to the embassy and ask for the necessary documents to submit to be sure. We also can provide you some information about the visa application process: https://handbookgermany.de/en/vocational-training-visa
I hope this gives you an overview. If you have further questions, please feel free to ask.
Wish you good luck!
