Applying to Chancekarte in Germany

Hello,

There is limited information on Chancekarte so any help is appreciated.

I'll be residing in Germany this summer for a long-term language course. Since I'm already a  resident, I can legally submit my application for Chancekarte:

"If you are already in Germany, simply submit the application to the relevant local Foreigners’ Registration Office." (from FAQ on https://chancenkarte.com/en/candidates/ )

Can I change my resident permit by following this method? If the application result exceeds my language course visa, can I obtain Fiktionsbescheinigung to stay until the decision is made?

Thank you in advance

Hello rd_ck , It's great to hear that you will be doing a long-term language course in Germany. The Chancenkarte program will start in June, so we do not yet have any practical experience with it. Therefore, please contact the Make it in Germany Hotline at https://www.make-it-in-germany.com/de/service/kontakt/hotline or write your question to this e-mail: info@chancenkarte.com
They should be able to provide you with accurate information regarding the Chancenkarte application process and any potential impact on your residency status. I hope you find this information useful. Best Barbara
