Recognition of foreign qualifications

In Germany the profession of a doctor requires an approbation, there are some steps you need to follow to fulfill the requirements:
1 Acknowledgment of your degree:
Have you checked the "anabin" database to see if your degree and the university where you studied are already acknowledged? Unfortunately, this website is only available in German. The best scenario is if your university has the "Status H+" and your degree is equivalent ("Entspricht"). If this is not the case, you can still apply for an acknowledgment process at the Central Office for Foreign Education (Zentralstelle für ausländische Bildungswesen - ZAB). 2 After your degree acknowledgment, another local institution will check if your qualification is equivalent to a German qualification to get your approbation. Since you are located in Dresden, should be the correct and responsible institution. Unfortunately, these websites are only available in German. On this website, you can contact the responsible person according to your last name and the field of approbation you want to apply for. On the 2nd page of this application form, you can find all the necessary documents you will need to apply.
You can contact the IQ counseling center in Dresden, which will help you fill out those forms.
